Eye Tracking in 2014: How Users View and Interact with Today's Google SERPs - Moz

A new study suggests that since  the top organic results are no longer always in the top-left corner where searchers expect them to be, they scan other areas of the SERP, trying to seek out the top organic listing, but being distracted by other elements along the way.
